Mt. Satopanth can easily be called the gateway to the world of mountaineering in the Himalayas. This is not a tourist destination and not for trekkers. From here on you become a mountaineer instead of a trekker. It ain't cheap as there is no Quick fix in the world of mountaineering. You take your time, find the right window and climb the mountain with a more than capable team. If you have poor attitude or are used to luxuries in life try another operator. We spend more on safety than cutlery.

What we offer:

  • Day 1 : U report at the bus stand or railway station @ Dehradun and trekking equipment will be provided (Jacket, Shoes, Trekking Pole, Headlamp, Rucksack, Trekking Pant)). We pick you up, you pay for the meals on the way, You reach the hub of mountaineering in Uttarakhand Himalayas - Uttarkashi. Also, where Nehru Institute of Mountaineering is located. Drive takes about 5 to 6 hours. Check into a hotel. There will be a briefing after dinner.
  • Day 2 : Uttarkashi to Gangotri drive takes about 4 hours, roughly 98 kms. Check into your hotel and rest.
  • Day 3 : Trek from Gangotri to Bhojbasa along the river Bhagirathi and behold the first view of Bhagirathi Peaks, it is 14 kms and takes 5 to 6 hrs. Check into your tents.
  • Day 4 : Trek from Bhojbasaa to Nandan Van which is 9 kms and takes 5 hrs. You will get moraine, then the Gangotri glacier (source of river Ganga) which is challenging. Camp under the stars and mountains in your tents. This is breathtaking with views of Baghirathi I, II and III. Also, views of Mt. Kedar Dome, Karcha Kund, Kedarnath & Mt. Meru. Check into your tents.
  • Day 5 : Trek from Nandanvan to Vasuki Tal which is 4 km and takes 3 hrs. Vasuki Tal is a small but beautiful lake. We are now at 4898 mtrs. Relax and acclimatize. Check into tents. This is our Base Camp.
  • Day 6 : Acclimatization day as the air is thin now. Lot of planning and picture clicking.
  • Day 7: Trek from Base camp to Advance Base Camp   
  • Day 8: Acclimatization day at Advance Base Camp 
  • Day 9: Trek from Advance Base Camp to Camp 1
  • Day 10:  Acclimatization day at Camp  1
  • Day 11: Trek from Camp 1 to Summit Camp 
  • Day 12: Summit Push and back to Summit Camp
  • Day 13 : Reserve day for Summit attempt
  • Day 14 : Descend from Summit Camp to Camp 1
  • Day 15 : Descend from Camp 1 to Base Camp
  • Day 16 : Trek from Vasuki Tal to Nandanvan
  • Day 17: Trek from Nandanvan to Chirbasa
  • Day 21 : Trek from Chirbasa to Uttarkashi. Check into your hotel.
  • Day 22: Drive to Dehradun. Departure.

Exclusions:

1. Expenses of personal nature like mineral water, toiletries, personal medicines, communication etc.

2. Offloading of bags on mules is chargeable. 

3. Any expense arising out of change in itinerary will have to be borne by the Mountaineer.

4. If you want to sleep alone during the entire expedition, you will have to pay extra for a personal sherpa or carry your own tent.
